Brockport, NY – On Friday the SUNY Brockport women's basketball team hosted Geneseo for a conference battle. Geneseo was able to take the victory, 75-42, in convincing fashion.
The loss puts Brockport at 6-6 overall and 3-2 in SUNYAC play. Geneseo improved to 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
Freshman
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste led the Golden Eagles in scoring, putting up 10 points off the bench.
Anna Felice went 5-for-5 at the foul line on the way to nine points for the Green and Gold.
Geneseo creeped out to an 8-point lead towards the end of the first quarter, eventually holding a 19-14 lead after one. The Knights then outscored the Green and Gold, 20-7, in the second to own an 18-point lead at the half.
Brockport's deficit would only increase as the second half roared on. Geneseo would end up leading from start to finish, cruising to a 33-point victory in conference play.
The Golden Eagles look to bounce back on Saturday, as they play Fredonia for another SUNYAC matchup. Tip-off is scheduled for 2pm back at The Vlog.
