Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team defeated Fredonia, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon for the team's 11
th shutout of the season.
The Golden Eagles improve to 11-2-2 on the season and 3-1-2 in the SUNYAC. They continue the program's best start since 2012 when the team finished 15-3-2, making a run to the ECAC Championship game.
The women went into halftime tied at, 0-0, after a scoreless first half. That all changed early on in the second.
Sophia DeAngelo scored her second goal of the season less than five minutes into the second half at 49:48, assisted by
Karlie Mann.
Fredonia outshot Brockport with a total of 17 shots to the Golden Eagle's eight.

Lyndsey Miller recorded shots for the Green and Gold. The Golden Eagles also received five corner kicks compared to the Blue Devils six.
McCrosson spent 90:00 minutes in goal and made six saves. She has seven solo clean sheets on the season after the home victory.
Brockport will host Cortland this Saturday, October 14
th at 2pm for another SUNYAC Matchup.
