Brockport, NY – On Senior Night for the Golden Eagle volleyball team, Brockport swept Fredonia for the 3-0 win in conference play. The squad improves to 8-9 overall and 4-1 against SUNYAC opponents.
Prior to the start of play a short ceremony was held to recognize and honor Brockport's four seniors:
Kaia Hubbard,
Ashley Allen,
Brooklyn Sullivan, and
Megan Loomis.
The celebration continued for the team on the court as the Golden Eagles dominated for the 3-0 sweep at home. They took the first set, 25-16, to take control of the match right away. After a slow start in the second, the Green and Gold got hot to take the set, 25-11. The third set was all Brockport, sealing the deal with a 25-15 score to close out the match.
On the way to racking up a match-high 29 assists,
Kaitlyn Jewett looked to feed
Megan Loomis and
Jordan Thompson throughout the match. Loomis had a team-high 32 total attempts for 12 kills on the night. Thompson matched her teammate with 12 kills, coming from 26 attempts.
Senior
Brooklyn Sullivan led the squad with 19 digs as Brockport's libero for all three sets. Thompson and Jewett both had double-digit digs as well with 11 and 10 respectively.
Kaia Hubbard celebrated with a career-high of five total blocks (1 solo, 4 assisted) defensively.
Brockport had the advantage over Fredonia on the stat sheet in both blocks and aces to grab valuable points in the match.

After the win, the Green and Gold join just three other teams in the SUNYAC with four wins in conference play. At 4-1 in the SUNYAC, Brockport has only lost four sets in league play.
The Golden Eagles are back at home on Saturday looking for a third consecutive sweep in SUNYAC competition. They host Buffalo State at 1pm at The Vlog.
