Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagles earned their third sweep in a row on Saturday, defeating Buffalo State, 3-0, at home. Brockport is now .500 on the season at 9-9 overall and owns a 5-1 mark against SUNYAC opponents.
Setting the tone for the match, the Golden Eagles dominated the first set, 25-9. They only committed two errors on 25 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage to start the day. Carrying that momentum into the second, the squad grabbed the 25-13 win to go up 2-0. Brockport then battled for a 28-26 win in the third to complete the sweep.
The Green and Gold finished the match with a .304 hitting percentage and just nine total errors for a season-best performance on the attack. The home team earned the advantage across the board in points (53-28), kills (43-22), assists (41-20), and digs (65-52).
Jordan Thompson came up big with 15 kills, 11 digs, and three aces. She had a team-high 40 total attempts with just one error for a .350 hitting percentage. Teammate
