Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagles earned their third sweep in a row on Saturday, defeating Buffalo State, 3-0, at home. Brockport is now .500 on the season at 9-9 overall and owns a 5-1 mark against SUNYAC opponents.
 
Setting the tone for the match, the Golden Eagles dominated the first set, 25-9. They only committed two errors on 25 attempts for a .400 hitting percentage to start the day. Carrying that momentum into the second, the squad grabbed the 25-13 win to go up 2-0. Brockport then battled for a 28-26 win in the third to complete the sweep.
 
The Green and Gold finished the match with a .304 hitting percentage and just nine total errors for a season-best performance on the attack. The home team earned the advantage across the board in points (53-28), kills (43-22), assists (41-20), and digs (65-52).
 
Jordan Thompson came up big with 15 kills, 11 digs, and three aces. She had a team-high 40 total attempts with just one error for a .350 hitting percentage. Teammate Emma Schumaker registered a .450 hitting percentage on the way to an 11-kill performance.
 
With a team-high 23 digs in the match, libero Brooklyn Sullivan tied her career-high. Kaitlyn Jewett contributed defensively with 11 digs, while also registering a match-high 34 assists as the Green and Gold setter.
 
In the middle Kaia Hubbard had a pair of block assists and had five kills on seven attempts for a super healthy .714 hitting percentage. Elsie Logan and Emma Schumaker each had two aces while on the serve for Brockport.
 
The Golden Eagles play another crucial SUNYAC match on Wednesday, October 18^th. They travel over to take on Geneseo at 6pm, looking to extend the win streak.
