Rochester, NY - The Brockport Field Hockey team dropped Wednesday's non-conference clash with the University of Rochester, 2-0.
 
Goalie Ella Buchanan withstood three early Yellowjacket scoring chances, denying Rochester Bella Militi (2) and Maeve Fogarty.
 
Quinn Guy looked to put Brockport ahead in the first, but Rochester goalie Kara Houston was in for the stop. Kara Houston would go the distance for Rochester, making her lone stop in a shutout win.
 
After 10 scoreless minutes in the second, Zoe Conomikes connected for her 7^th goal of the season, with Maeve Fogarty chipping in for the assist.
 
Rochester would continue to create scoring chances in the 2^nd half, with Ella Buchanan making four stops in the first six minutes of the third period.
 
The Yellowjackets would double their advantage late in the third, with Bella Militi redirecting Mara Heppard's shot for her 6^th goal of the year, the final goal of the contest. 
 
Kelsey Zehr (2) led the Golden Eagles in the shots department., and Paige Thowe recorded the lone defensive save in the contest.
 
Ella Buchanan continued her trend of stellar play, going the distance for Brockport while adding 14 saves with just two goals allowed.
