Volleyball Remains Unbeaten at Home With Sweep Over Nazareth

Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport volleyball team took care of business at home on Tuesday, sweeping Nazareth 3-0 for a fourth consecutive win. Brockport improves to 13-10 overall and remains undefeated at 6-0 on the home court.
 
The Golden Eagles took the first set, 25-17, as they committed just two errors on 31 attempts. With 17 kills in the set, they went up 1-0 thanks to a 0.484 hitting percentage.
 
Brockport would take a 2-0 lead for the match after a dominant showing in the second. The squad marched towards a 25-9 win for the set, allowing Nazareth to register just four kills on 35 attempts.
 
In the third set, the visiting Golden Flyers kept it close throughout. However, the Green and Gold pulled out the win 25-19 to complete the 3-0 sweep on the night.
 
Playing in just two of the three sets, Jordan Thompson led the team with 14 kills and a .583 hitting percentage. Emma Schumaker also hit double digits with 10 kills, while Alexis Sison had nine with a .400 hitting percentage.
 
Sison also contributed with seven digs and three block assists. Elsie Logan led the Green and Gold with 14 digs as the libero for the match. Brooklyn Sullivan came up with eight digs and Alenna Williamson had three block assists.
 
Setter Kaitlyn Jewett connected with her hitters for 27 assists against Nazareth. She also had two aces to go with three from Gianna Felipe.
 
With a spot in the SUNYAC Tournament already clinched, this weekend's pair of conference matchups on the road will help determine seeding.
 
The Golden Eagles will travel to face Oswego at 6pm on Friday before heading to Cortland on Saturday for a 1pm start.
