Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Brockport Beats Alfred, 3-0, at Home

Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team beat Alfred University, 3-0, at home on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles are now 10-2-1 overall on the season.

With its 10th win Brockport earns the program's best start since 2012, when the team finished 15-3-2. Head Coach Mike Idland secures double-digit wins for the second time with the Green and Gold (2019 & 2023).

Kiley Longin scored Brockport's first goal unassisted off of a free kick. Her second of the season put the team up 1-0 less than 10 minutes into the match.

Jaylah Cossin snuck the ball in with 37 seconds left in the first half of the game, unassisted. She cleaned up a rebound in front of the net to make it a 2-0 game. Cossin now has nine goals on the year, still tied for first in the SUNYAC.
 
Amelia Breton scored the lone goal of the second half assisted by Diane Lange. Lange played a ball into the box and Breton dove for the header to give the Golden Eagles their final tally of 3-0.
 
Brockport received nine corner kicks and recorded a total of 20 shots to Alfred's eight. Kellie Gentile, Amelia Breton, Karlie Mann, Sophia DeAngelo, Kiley Longin, Lara Kanbur, Emily Maczka Jaylah Cossin, Katie Hotaling, Franchesca Polcaro and Kaleigh Pettit recorded shots for the Green and Gold.
 
Madeline McCrosson spent 90:00 minutes in goal making four saves. She now has six solo shutouts on the season and a record of 9-2-1 in net.
 
Brockport will head on the road this weekend for a 1pm game against SUNY New Paltz on Saturday to resume conference play.
