Women's Soccer Draws at New Paltz, 2-2

New Paltz, NY - The Brockport Women's Soccer erased a two-goal deficit to tie New Paltz on the road, 2-2, on Saturday, October 7th. Brockport moved to 10-2-2 and 2-1-2 in SUNYAC play following the draw in New Paltz, claiming a point for the conference standings.

New Paltz applied pressure from the get-go, scoring on their first two shots on net thanks to goals from Rachel Eisert and Gaby Treble with an assist from Ally Donovan.

Kiley Longin would give the Green and Gold some much-needed momentum before halftime, burying a penalty shot to cut the lead to 2-1 at halftime.

Nearly 68 minutes into the contest, the Golden Eagles would tie the score up at 2-2.

Both defenses limited scoring chances for the remainder of the 2nd half until Madeline McCrosson made her biggest stop of the day, robbing New Paltz's Rachel Eisert of what would have been the game-winning goal.

McCrosson would shut out the Hawks for the remaining 85:11 of the contest, adding two saves.

Katie Hotaling and Kaleigh Pettit would record shots on goal as the Hawks and Golden Eagles would record 4 shots on goal each.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will return home to face off with Fredonia on Wednesday, October 11th at 4 p.m.
