Binghamton, NY - The Golden Eagle tennis team lost to Oneonta, 6-3, on Friday down at the Binghamton Tennis Center. Brockport is now 2-7 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
The top singles player for Brockport,
Eliza Gonzalez, fought hard for a win in first singles. It took three sets to decide the winner, with Gonzalez taking the match 4-6, 7-6 (5), 11-9.
Olivia Raschiatore also picked up a win for a second match point for the Green and Gold. She took the victory in second singles 6-3, 6-3.
The third and final point for Brockport on the day came from
Olivia Chiu in fifth singles. She pulled out a close 7-6 (5), 7-5 win in two sets.
In doubles play, the Oneonta Red Dragons swept the points with wins in first, second, and third doubles.
Brockport is back in action on Saturday for the final match of the fall semester. The squad will take on New Paltz at 3pm back at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
