Oneonta, NY – The SUNY Brockport volleyball team bounced back on Saturday in a road match against Oneonta. Brockport swept the Red Dragons, 3-0, to move to 7-9 overall and 3-1 in the SUNYAC.
The first two sets of the night were tight between the Golden Eagles and Red Dragons. Brockport took the first, 25-22, and the second, 25-23, for a hard-fought 2-0 lead in the match. Completing the sweep, the squad took the third set, 25-15, to get the 3-0 win on the road.
Jordan Thompson stuffed the stat sheet with her performance out in Oneonta. She had team-highs of 23 kills, three aces, 20 digs, and had one block assist. Thompson totaled 26.5 points in three sets of action, earning a .381 attack percentage.
Kaitlyn Jewett continues to shine in the setter spot, racking up 37 assists for Brockport. Jewett was also in position for 14 digs defensively.
Brooklyn Sullivan (11) and
Gianna Felipe (10) each had double-digit digs as well.
The Golden Eagles are back in action for Senior Night on Friday, October 13
th. They host Fredonia for a 6pm start at The Vlog.
