Rochester, NY – On the road for some non-conference action, the Brockport volleyball team fell to the University of Rochester, 3-0. With the loss on Wednesday night the Golden Eagles are now 14-12 overall on the season.
The first set belonged to the Yellowjackets, as they took the first point of the night with a convincing, 25-14, showing in the set. The Green and Gold kept it close in the second, but ultimately fell short, 26-24. Rochester closed out the night with a 25-17 win in the third to complete the sweep.
With 10 kills,
Jordan Thompson led Brockport offensively. She had 12.5 total points by adding two aces and one block assist.
Kaitlyn Jewett totaled 25 assists as the Green and Gold setter.
Gianna Felipe had a solid outing with 16 digs and four service aces.
Elsie Logan ended with 13 digs, while
Brooklyn Sullivan had seven to her name.
The Golden Eagles look to bounce back this weekend at the Clark University Tri-Match against Coast Guard (1pm) and Clark (3pm) on Saturday.
