Brockport, NY - The Brockport women's basketball team defeated Oneonta at home on Friday, December 1
st, 68-45. The Golden Eagles move to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in SUNYAC play.

The Brockport offense exploded for 26 points in the first quarter after catching fire from beyond the arc, hitting 5-of-6 from downtown. The Golden Eagles defense held Oneonta to just seven points on 17.6% shooting in the first quarter.

Taking a 17-point advantage into the halftime break, the Brockport then controlled the remainder of the contest. On its home floor, the team outscored the Red Dragons, 29-23, in the second half to cruise to a 23-point win.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste (15 points),
Anna Lee (13 points), and
Zoe Zutes (12 points) fronted a balanced scoring attack for the Green and Gold, combining for a solid 15-of-28 shooting from the floor.

Zairea Hannah controlled the glass throughout, leading all players with a game-high 13 rebounds to go with two blocks.

Hali Lucia turned in a dynamic effort, filling up the stat sheet with six points, six assists, seven rebounds, and two steals.

Kelsey Morgans turned in her best effort as a Golden Eagle, scoring nine points with two rebounds on 60% shooting from the floor (2-4 3PT).

The Golden Eagles dominated the contest, outshooting the Red Dragons 43.3% to 27.9%, outrebounding them 51-37, and outscoring them 26 to 20 in the paint.
