Rochester, NY - The Brockport women's basketball team was defeated on the road, 73-54, against Nazareth College on Saturday, December 9
th. The Golden Eagles fell to 5-4 on the season following the loss.

The Golden Eagles and Golden Flyers went back in forth in the first half, with both the first quarter (19-19) and second quarter (18-18) ending in stalemates. The contest went into halftime tied at 37-37.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste (16 points) and
Zairea Hannah (12 points) combined for 28 points in the first half for Brockport, answering a terrific first half from Katie MacLachlan (17 points) of Nazareth.

 Jean-Baptiste would finish with 17 points and four rebounds. Hannah collected her third double-double of the year with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

The Golden Flyers'Â defense would take over in the second half, holding Brockport to just 17 points, and forcing 13 Golden Eagles turnovers.

Katie MacLachlan gave the Green and Gold problems throughout, dropping an efficient 26 points (10-18 FG, 5-10 3PT), while also snatching seven steals.

Kiara Anglin (14), Olivia Dobrovosky (14), and Molly Benetti (12) rounded out the double-digit scorers for a dynamic offensive attack for the Golden Flyers.

The Golden Eagles fared well at the free throw line, sinking 19-of-24 attempts for 79.2%, compared to just 66.7% for Nazareth.

Brockport will look to snap its three-game slide at Oswego on Friday, January 5
th at 5:30 pm following the holiday break.
