Brockport, NY – On Saturday the Golden Eagles celebrated Senior Day with a win over Buffalo State, 69-54. They close out the regular season at 12-13 overall and 9-9 in conference play to earn the No. 5 seed for the SUNYAC Tournament.

Anna Felice was recognized and honored as the lone senior from this year's squad
Juan Brown led the team with 17 points, shooting 7-for-12 from the field. She stuffed the stat sheet with five steals, five boards, and two blocks.
Hali Lucia tied her career-high with 14 points, going 5-for-6 from the floor and 4-for-6 at the line. She also came up with five boards, three assists, and two steals.
Zairea Hannah finished with 12 points and nine rebounds. Teammate
Zoe Zutes scored eight points to go with a season-high 11 rebounds.
Lucia got going early to put Brockport up, 7-6, midway through the first. The score would remain a 1-point advantage for the home team, 13-12, going into the second quarter. Hali continued to attack the basket in the second, scoring nine points in the period.
The Bengals tied the score up 26-26 with 2:58 left until halftime. However, Brockport's defense closed out the half strong keeping Buffalo State to zero points the rest of the quarter. A jumper right before halftime by

The 3-point shot got Buffalo State back into the game early on in the third, as the visiting squad tied the game at 35-35. Then Brockport went on a quick, 8-0, run to regain the momentum. By the end of the third the Green and Gold had created a 52-43 lead.
Constantly attacking the rim, the Golden Eagles finished with 40 points in the paint. They would eventually march out to a comfortable double-digit lead as the fourth quarter went on. Senior Day concluded with a 69-54 victory to close out the regular season.
No. 5 Brockport will be hosted by No. 4 Geneseo for the first-round matchup on Tuesday, February 21
st. Tip-off for the SUNYAC Tournament is set for 7pm.
