Brockport, NY – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2023 Division III Individual Scholar All-Americans. SUNY Brockport's Matthew Kline was recognized for his exceptional work in the classrooms.
 
In order to receive NWCA Scholar All-American honors a wrestler must have a GPA of 3.2 or greater for the previous academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Kline was the lone Golden Eagle to represent the program this season.
 
His final season with the team came to an end after a solid run at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships. Matt went 3-1 on the first day of the meet which included a pin in 2:53 after a first-round loss. He continued on with decision victories of 6-4 and 7-3 to advance. Kline ended up placing eighth in the tournament in the 165-weight division.
