Brockport to Host Westminster for Home Opener

Brockport, NY – On Saturday, the Golden Eagle men's lacrosse team will host Westminster College for their first home game of 2023. Game is scheduled for a 3pm start out on the new turf field.
 
Last Outing: Brockport fell to Wooster, 14-8, in the game this past weekend. Wooster got off to a hot start with seven goals in the first quarter, leading from start to finish. Jackson Worden led the team in points for the third straight game with six. He totaled one goal and five assists in the contest. Jack Peterson followed with three goals.
 
Worden's Impact: Jackson Worden has been a key contributor on the offensive end early on this season. He has totaled 13 points from six goals and seven assists in just three games. He leads the team in both goals and assists.
 
Goal Scorers: Jack Peterson has found the back of the net five times for the Golden Eagles. Ryan McCarthy has scored three times, while Ben Hay and Nate Askin both have two scores. Carson Colucci has also registered three goals so far.
 
Backline: Anthony McGee and Ryan Haugh have both caused four turnovers defensively. McGee is also among the team leaders with six ground balls. Cameron Kuzniar has made 45 saves, playing the full 60 minutes in all three games.
 
Looking at Westminster: After starting the season off 0-3, Westminster got in the win column last weekend with an 11-8 victory over Mount Union. The team has suffered losses to Wooster, Ohio Wesleyan, and Alfred. #23 Jimmy Sentz and #22 Ryan Greer have both scored seven goals on the way to leading Westminster as the top point scorers.
 
Up Next: Following their home opener, the Golden Eagles will get back on the road next week. They head over to Utica University for a 3pm start on Wednesday, March 15th.
