Cortland, NY – The SUNY Brockport Men's Lacrosse team fell 17-7 on the road at Cortland State Saturday afternoon.
Cortland blew out the first period with four goals.
Mike O'Brien scored Brockport's first goal with 1:52 left in the first, assisted by
Ben Hay.
Cortland scored opening the second period.
Carson Colucci answered back, assisted by
Aidan Long with 12:30 left in the first half of the game. Cortland scored again, and
Garrett Smith answered with another goal. Smith was assisted by teammate
Michael Marincic. Cortland scored five more times in the first half.
Ethan Barrett snuck one in with 1:47 left in the first half assisted by
Carson Colucci.
Cortland started the second half with a goal, but
Jhovanny Olivares snapped back with a goal unassisted. Garrett smith scored his second goal of the game assisted by
Nick Maslin with 5:06 left in the third. Cortland scored once more in the third, before starting the fourth with a goal.
Mike O'Brien scored his second goal of the game, unassisted, and final goal for the Golden Eagles with 11:21 left in the game. Cortland scored four more times, for a final score of 17-7.
In goal for the Golden Eagles was
Cameron Kuzniar for 59:40 minutes. Kuzniar made 19 saves and allowed 17 goals.
Evan O'Connor played :20 seconds.
The Men will return to host Plattsburgh state on Saturday April 22
nd, at 12pm.
