Brockport, N.Y.- The Golden Eagles softball team will head to Geneseo for doubleheader action on Thursday, April 27
th at 3 pm and 5 pm.

Last Time Out: Brockport split a doubleheader against Oswego State last Saturday, dropping game one 6-0 before winning game two 8-3.

Game One: Senior
Annie Dipirro continued her SUNYAC hot streak, being the lone Golden Eagle with multiple hits in game one, going 2/3 at the plate. Samantha Morgan launched a two-run home run in the 4
th to put Oswego ahead 3-0, providing more than enough run support for game one. Fiona Higgins (W, 5-10) was dominant on the bump for Oswego, going all seven innings, allowing just 4 hits, and striking out 11 Golden Eagles. Â

Game Two: Much like game one, Brockport found themselves down 3-0 in the 4
th before
Annie Dipirro's two-RBI single brought the Green and Gold within one. The Golden Eagles' offense erupted for 5 runs in the 5
th, highlighted by
Jenna Downey's two-run home run to put Brockport ahead 4-3.
Hannah Jacobs wrapped up the scoring in the 5
th with an RBI single to score
Kellie Gentile, who led all batters with 3 hits in the contest.
Roseland Stroh (W, 3-11) put together one of her best starts of the season, going all seven innings and allowing just two earned runs and three hits. Brockport moved to 5-21 overall and 2-10 in conference play following the doubleheader.

SUNYAC Streak: Across the last 10 games, senior
Annie Dipirro is playing some of her best softball as a Golden Eagle. Dipirro is 11 for her last 26 with 9 RBIs and a home run, good for a .423 batting average in her last 10 games with a .985 OPS in conference play, leading the Green and Gold.

Scouting Geneseo: The Knights hold a record of 15-14-1 with a 6-6 mark in SUNYAC play, most recently losing both doubleheader games against the University of Rochester. The Geneseo offense is led by freshman Brooke Fraas, who leads the SUNYAC in OBP (.581), and total bases (34), and ranks second in hits (21) and doubles (6). The Knights have gotten the best of the Golden Eagles in the recent series, winning the last four head-to-head matchups.
