Pittsford, NY – The SUNY Brockport volleyball team fell to St. John Fisher, 3-2, on Tuesday night in a non-conference matchup on the road. Brockport is now 2-6 overall on the season.
 
The Golden Eagles went up 1-0 after a hard-fought win in the first set, 25-23. The hosting Cardinals bounced back with wins in the second and third set 25-21 and 25-19. Brockport would sneak out a 25-23 win in the fourth set, sending the match to a fifth. Fisher ultimately outlasted the Green and Gold, 15-12, in the final set to clinch the win.
 
With 22 kills, Jordan Thompson set a new season-high and led all players in the match. She also chipped in with nine digs and four block assists. Setter Ashley Allen hooked up her teammates with 30 assists in the match.
 
Elsie Logan racked up a new season-high of 23 digs on the night. Teammate Gianna Felipe contributed 14 digs of her own. Jayda Pyle finished with five service aces and got up for three block assists.
 
Leah Vitiello and Alexis Sison both added to the Brockport attack. Vitiello totaled eight points in the match, mainly from her seven kills. Sison had six kills to her name on the night. Alenna Williamson was involved with four block assists.
 
The Golden Eagles will now have time to prepare for their home opener on Tuesday, September 19^th. They will take on RIT at 6pm in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.
