Geneva, NY – This weekend the SUNY Brockport women's tennis team sent its top solo and doubles players to compete at the ITA Regional Championships.
Eliza Gonzalez and
Olivia Raschiatore made the trip to represent the Golden Eagles at the tournament, hosted by William Smith College.
In the first round of the singles tournament, both players found themselves on the losing end of the action.
Gonzalez fell to NYU's Adi Narayan 6-3, 6-4. Raschiatore lost in the opening round 6-2, 6-0 to NYU's Jimena Menendez.
In the doubles bracket, Gonzalez and Raschiatore teamed up. In the first match they were defeated by Baruch's duo of Deguzman/Yadav, 8-0.
After falling in the first round of action at the ITA Regional Tournament, the Golden Eagles have been eliminated from the competition.
