Brockport, NY - The Brockport field hockey team fell at home to the #18 ranked Cortland Red Dragons, 4-0, on Saturday. The Golden Eagles move to 7-3 and 0-2 in SUNYAC play on the 2023 season.

Ella Buchanan kept the Golden Eagles within striking distance throughout, making a pair of stops in the first few minutes before Jamie Snyder put Cortland ahead 1-0 5:25 into the first.

Emmalee Moore looked to respond at the 9:17 mark in the first, before Cortland's Emma Morgan made her first save on the day.

Ella Buchanan finished with nine saves in the first, the most saves she has made in a single period as a Golden Eagle. She totaled 14 saves in the half and an outstanding 23 saves on the contest.

The Red Dragons would add to the lead with one goal in each period, thanks to a pair of scores from both Jamie Snyder and Gianna Trunfio. Keirra Ettere had two assists, while Isabel Adams was credited with one.

The Green and Gold found scoring chances from
Bailey Lazore and
Kelsey Zehr, but all three shots on goal in the contest were stopped by Emma Morgan, who earned the shutout win for #18 Cortland (8-0, 3-0 SUNYAC).
