Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team defeated St. John Fisher, 1-0, on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles are now 2-1 overall early on in the season after back-to-back wins.

Franchesca Polcaro provided the excitement early on for the Green and Gold. She got the game rolling by scoring at 7:44 into the first half, assisted by
Jaylah Cossin. Polcaro's goal would give the Golden Eagles a 1-0 lead that would be held the rest of the way.
Fisher out shot Brockport by one, but was unable to find the back of the net. Brockport had a total of seven shots on goal to the Cardinals six. The Golden Eagles were awarded five corner kick opportunities, while the Cardinals were given eight.
Madeline McCrosson spent 90 minutes in goal for the Green and Gold. Fisher and Brockport were evenly matched, both goalies making six saves. McCrosson didn't allow a goal, helping the Golden Eagles achieve their second shutout of the year.
Brockport will return home for the home opener on Thursday, September 7
th at 4pm on the New Turf, in Brockport New York. The squad will take on Keuka College for more non-conference play.
