Brockport, NY - The Brockport women's basketball team came up short at home against Plattsburgh, 52-44, on Saturday, January 27
th. Brockport moved to 9-10 overall and 5-7 in conference play following the loss.

The defenses ruled the first half, with neither team shooting better than 25% from the floor through the first two frames.

The Cardinals would jump ahead by 12 with 1:25 left in the third. Brockport put together an impressive 8-0 run to end the quarter, and would slice the lead to just four points entering the fourth.

Zairea Hannah would follow up on her buzzer-beater layup to end the third with another bucket to begin the fourth, cutting the Plattsburgh lead to two. Hannah would finish with eight points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

The game turned into a back-and-forth affair in the fourth, but Plattsburgh would score the final six points of the contest to down Brockport 52-44.

Imani Walcott did it all for Plattsburgh, scoring a game-high 21 points with nine rebounds and 11 blocked shots.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste led Brockport in scoring, dropping 12 points and grabbing five rebounds.

Anna Lee rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Golden Eagles, scoring 11 points and snatching five rebounds.
