Houghton, NY – The SUNY Brockport volleyball team was swept on the road, 3-0, on Saturday by the Houghton Highlanders. After back-to-back losses in E8 play, Brockport moves to 13-8 overall and 6-3 in the conference.
The first set was a nail-biter, as the two conference foes battled in a tight set. Houghton was able to hold on for the 27-25 win, to go up 1-0 for the match. The Highlanders went on to win the next two sets 25-17 and 25-20 to secure the 3-0 sweep at home.
Alenna Williamson led the Brockport attack with 13 kills in the match.
Kaitlyn Jewett spread the ball around with 19 assists as the starting setter.

Gianna Felipe (10) led the Golden Eagles in digs on the day. Battling up at the net defensively was

Anna Cascapera (2),
Alenna Williamson (2), and
Alyssa Bruno (2) with multiple block assists each.
The Golden Eagles are on the road again next weekend for more E8 play. They will take on Russell Sage on Friday at 6pm.
