Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's tennis team will head to Houghton on Friday, October 4^th at 4 p.m.
 
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles secured their first win of the year against Alfred, 5-2, on Saturday, September 28^th. Brockport moved to 1-6 on the season with a 1-4 mark in Empire 8 play.
 
The first doubles pair of Cara Vasile and Olivia Raschiatore took the win, 8-2, the lone win for Brockport in doubles competition.
 
Olivia Raschiatore won in the first singles slot in two sets 6-4, 6-3.
 
 Cara Vasile got the win in second singles, winning the tiebreaker 7-2 to get another point for the Green and Gold.
 
Sophie Langdon collected the win in 4^th singles in two sets (6-2, 6-3), with Grace Trebilcock coming out on top in 5^th singles (6-0, 6-3).
 
First Win: Representing Brockport in 2^nd singles, Cara Vasile earned her first singles win as a Golden Eagle. The freshman from Auburn, NY took down Elizabeth Madsen of Alfred in two sets (6-4, 7-6).
 
Scouting Houghton: The Highlanders sit at 1-10 overall with a 1-3 record in E8 matches. Houghton is in the midst of a 5-match losing streak, most recently falling to Grove City 7-0.
 
Up Next: Brockport will head to Geneseo to face the Knights on Wednesday, October 9th at 4 p.m.
