Houghton, NY- The Brockport women's tennis team earned a 5-4 win at Houghton on Friday, October 4^th. The win moved Brockport to 2-6 on the season with a 2-4 mark in Empire 8 contests.
 
Sophie Langdon and Olivia Chiu picked up the Golden Eagles' lone win in doubles play, winning in convincing fashion (8-2).
 
Brockport was strong in singles play, picking up wins in 4 of 6 matches, beginning with Olivia Raschiatore, who was victorious in 1^st singles (6-1, 6-0).  
 
Cara Vasile did much of the same in 2^nd singles, winning in 3 sets in a competitive match (5-7, 6-3, 6-3).
 
Grace Trebilcock earned herself a win in 5^th singles, pulling out a two-set victory (6-2, 7-5).
 
Helping give Brockport the deciding point, Erin McMichael came through in 6^th singles, picking up the win in a comfortable two sets (6-3, 6-1).
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will look to push its win streak to three as they head to Geneseo on Wednesday, October 9^th at 4 p.m.
