Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's basketball team rolled past Buffalo State in home-opener action, 78-44, on Wednesday, November 13
th. The Golden Eagles moved to 2-1 on the year following the win.

In an all-around effort, 14 different Golden Eagles recorded points in the contest, with eight players scoring five points or more.

Brockport would set the tone from the opening tip, finishing the 1
st quarter on a 21-2 run after both teams traded baskets to begin the game. The Golden Eagles would hold the Bengals to just 11.7% shooting in the opening frame.

The Golden Eagle's offense would explode for 27 points in the second quarter, connecting for six three pointers on 50% shooting from deep. Brockport would carry a 29-point lead into halftime.

Both offenses would take a step back in third, with both teams shooting under 37% in the period. Brockport would still edge out Buffalo State 19-14 in the quarter, with
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste pouring in six points to enter the fourth up 34 points.

The two teams traded buckets in the final frame, scoring nine points apiece, with Brockport coming out with the 78-44 win.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste paced the scoring with 14 points on solid 7-15 shooting, snatching three steals.

Peyton Maneri did it all for Brockport, scoring eight points with four assists and four steals in a dynamic effort.

Harmony Philo had it going from downtown, scoring nine points on 50% shooting from the floor (3-6 3PT).

Claire Turner (4 points, 4 assists) led the charge on the glass with eight rebounds each.

Shannon Blankenship filled up the box score with seven points, four assists, four rebounds, and a steal in a strong effort.
