Oneonta, NY – The Brockport volleyball team concluded regular season E8 play on Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Hartwick. The Golden Eagles are now 14-9 overall and 7-4 in conference play.
With E8 play finished, Brockport is officially locked in as the No. 6 seed for the upcoming Empire 8 Tournament.
On Saturday, the Hartwick Hawks got going early with 25-18 and 25-14 wins across the first two sets. Trailing, 2-0, the Golden Eagles battled back with a 25-19 win in the third set. However, Hartwick put the match away with a 25-20 win in the fourth to claim the match, 3-1.
Alenna Williamson had 14 kills to lead the team, while
Alexis Sison had 11 kills of her own. They were set up by
Kaitlyn Jewett, who had 20 assists, and
Lauryn Forand's 16 assists.
Gianna Felipe led the squad with two service aces to go with her seven digs. Brockport also saw aces from
Lauryn Forand (1),
Alenna Williamson (1),
Elsie Logan (1), and
Lauren Emke (1).
Elsie Logan came up with a team-high 12 digs.
Alexis Sison had eight for the second most in the match for the Green and Gold.
Alyssa Bruno had the one solo block for the team on the day.

The Golden Eagles are at home next weekend to step outside of the conference for the final two matches of the regular season. They will host Clarkson on Friday at 5pm and RIT on Saturday at 10am.
