Geneva, NY – The Golden Eagle women's basketball team continues its hot start to the season with their third straight win. Brockport defeated William Smith, 76-62, on the road to improve to 4-1 overall.
Although William Smith held a lead after the first quarter, Brockport quickly took its own lead and remained ahead the rest of the game. Brockport's offense outpaced and outlasted the hosting Herons. The Green and Gold scored 18+ points in all four quarters. This included a 22-10 showing by the squad in the second period.
Brockport made 11 shots from long range in this one compared to just five from the opposition. Team 49 also did well crashing the offensive glass, snagging 23 offensive rebounds to create extra opportunities on offense.
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste led the Golden Eagles with 19 points on the day. SJB hit 2-of-4 shots from beyond the arc and had two steals defensively.
Kaileigh Hunt contributed all over the court with a solid all-around performance. She racked up 14 points, five boards, six assists, and three steals.

Harmony Philo remains in a rhythm with her 3-point shooting. In just 18 minutes of work she scored 12 points on 4-for-7 shooting from deep.
The Golden Eagles are back on their own home court prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday, as they host Penn State Behrend at 6pm on Tuesday, November 26
