Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's basketball team ended the regular season on a high note, taking down Geneseo on Senior Day, 68-65. The Golden Eagles will enter the SUNYAC Tournament with a 16-8 overall record, with a 12-6 mark in conference play. They clinched the No. 3 seed for the postseason and will host No. 6 Onoenta in the first round.

The first half belonged to the Knights, shooting an outstanding 53.6% from the floor with 5-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc (41.7%). Geneseo would take a 4-point lead into the halftime break, on the back of 15 first-half points from Josh Garelle.  
 
Effective shooting and strong defense flipped the script in the 2
nd half for Brockport, with the Golden Eagles shooting a strong 55.2% from the floor and forcing nine Geneseo turnovers. Brockport would finish the contest with a 20-9 advantage on turnovers, scoring 30 points off Geneseo's miscues. 
 
Down fivce early in the second half, seven straight points from 
Jacob Oka gave Brockport a 2-point edge. Oka would turn in a balanced effort, finishing with 14 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks.
 
Alex Tavarez came up big for the Golden Eagles in the 2
nd half, scoring 13 of his team-high 18 points in the 2
nd half. 
 
Up three points with less than a minute left, the Brockport defense stood tall. The squad forced a shot clock violation and stopped the Knights on their final two possessions to earn the win.
 
Caquan Wester was strong throughout, scoring 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting with three rebounds.
 
Zachary Rice was active defensively, snagging three steals along with two blocks and seven points. 
 
Tyler Cowie had a solid Senior Day performance, adding six points in 16 minutes on 50% shooting from three-point range (2-4).
