Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team got back in the win column on Tuesday, defeating St. Lawrence University, 12-10, at home. The Golden Eagles scored five goals in the fourth quarter, as they improve to 2-3 on the season.
 
Freshman 
Tristan Davis had her best outing of the season against the visiting Saints. She finished with a career-high five points, had a career-best four goals, dished out one assist, and had five draw controls.
 
Alayna Foos had a hat trick with three goals, as one of three others with three points in the game. 
Cassidy Burnash (2G, 1A) and 
Julia Quinlan (2G, 1A) both had three total points as well for Brockport.
 
Goalie 
Arianna Reed made nine saves in the contest, picking up the second win of her young career.
 
The first half belonged to the Green and Gold, as 
Hailey Lewkovich got the scoring started in the first quarter. She was assisted by 
Amanda Evans on the play, while Brockport took a 4-2 lead into the second quarter.
 
Brockport put together a string of five unanswered goals in the opening half, including three straight to start the second period. St. Lawrence got on the board before halftime to stop the bleeding, but still trailed, 7-3, at the break.
 
The third quarter was dominated by the visiting Saints. They outscored Brockport, 5-0, in the period to take all the momentum going into the fourth. The Green and Gold trailed, 8-7, with one quarter left to play.
 
In the final frame, the Golden Eagles took care of business to defend their home turf. They scored five goals in the fourth, including four in a row to take control late. Foos and Davis both had two scores in the final period, helping lead Brockport to the, 12-10, win.
 
Brockport is on the road this weekend for a matchup with McDaniel College at 11am on Saturday, March 16
th.
