Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport softball team will be playing Houghton University on Tuesday, March 26
th for a doubleheader. Games have been changed (originally 3pm & 5pm) to start times of 3:30pm and 5:30pm out in Houghton.

Time Down South: Competing at The Spring Games down in Clermont, FL, Brockport played its first 10 games of the season. Picking up wins against Keuka and Knox, the squad is 2-8 heading into this week's slate. Head Coach 
Mary Karen Wheat picked up the first win of her career as head coach against Keuka College, 10-2.
 
Hitting Leaders: Olivia Simone leads the squad with 11 hits, also leading the team in extra base hits with six doubles. Simone is hitting .314 with a .486 slugging percentage. 
Emma DeJesus (.313 BA) is second on the team with 10 hits and six RBIs. 
Kellie Gentile, 
Aubrey Ennis, and 
Riley Barrett all have eight hits. 
Caitlyn Dailey has a .400 batting average with her six hits.
 
Touching History: Paige Wentland added her name to the record book against Knox College. She tied the program's single-game record with seven RBIs in the victory. Wentland is now the third play ever for the team to hit seven RBIs in a game. Paige is hitting .333 on nine hits to go with her seven RBIs.
 
Pitching Staff: Kendall Phillips (1-3) has been the most used pitcher thus far, going 27.0 innings and appearing in nine games. Opposing batters are hitting just .216 off of her and she has struck out 50 batters to currently lead the SUNYAC. 
Hadley Alguire (1-1) and 
Fiona Gibiser (0-3) have both started three games so far. 
Rose Stroh (0-1) has two starts in the circle with nine strikeouts. In her one inning appearance against Susquehanna, 
Aurora Sabins allowed no hits and struck out two batters.
 
Schedule Ahead: The Golden Eagles are currently scheduled to play four more games this week on the road. They are set to face Nazareth on Friday for a doubleheader in Rochester (3&5pm). Then on Saturday the squad will play at the University of Rochester for a 1pm and 3pm set. The Nazareth Golden Flyers enter this week with a 1-7 record, while the U of R starts this week's slate at 7-5.
 
Nearing the Home Opener: Currently the Golden Eagles are set for opening weekend next weekend at the Clark V. Whited Complex. They play Buffalo State on Friday, April 5
th for a 3pm start to the doubleheader in the SUNYAC opener. Saturday, the 5
th Brockport will host Fredonia for a 12pm start to the set.
