Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's lacrosse team dropped Wednesday's home non-conference matchup against Alfred, 17-11. The Golden Eagles fell to 1-7 following the loss.

Nate Askin put the Golden Eagles ahead early, finding the back of the net at the 12:12 mark of the first quarter to give Brockport a 1-0 lead.

The Saxton's would catch fire in the first half, scoring 10 of the next 11 goals in the contest, highlighted by a first-half hat trick from Josh Hauman to take a 10-2 advantage.

Mike O'Brien to close out the first half would trim the Alfred to lead to 10-4 entering halftime.

The Golden Eagles would claw back in the third quarter, with goals from

Alfred would put a stop to the Brockport run, with Kevin Matson's goal with 12 seconds remaining in the third putting the Saxton's back up by 4 (11-7).

The Saxton's would cruise to the final buzzer, outscoring Brockport 6-4 in the final frame to claim a 17-11 victory.
