Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team defeated Fredonia, 17-5, at home to open SUNYAC play. Brockport has now won three in a row, improving to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
 
Cassidy Burnash posted a season-high nine points in the game, scoring four goals to go with five assists. Alayna Foos totaled five points on two goals and three assists offensively.
 
Both Tristan Davis (3G)  and Julia Quinlan (3G) netted hat tricks for the Green and Gold on the day.  Amanda Evans (2G), Sarah Kilburn (2G), and Hailey Lewkovich (1G) all found the back of the net as well.
 
The Golden Eagles led just about the entire game over Fredonia in the conference opener. They won the first quarter, 4-2, before blowing the game wide open in the second. Brockport scored eight goals to take a 12-2 lead into halftime.
 
Fredonia added three more scores to its total in the second half, but didn't have any chance to rally for a comeback. Brockport marched through the finish line, securing the 17-5 win on the home turf.
 
On Friday, March 29^th, the Golden Eagles will be on the road to face the undefeated New Paltz Hawks for an 11 am start.
