Brockport, NY- The Brockport men's lacrosse team will look to snap a 4-game skid as they head to New Paltz to take on the Hawks on Saturday, March 30^th at 11:30 a.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles came up short at home against Alfred on Wednesday, 17-11. The Golden Eagles fell to 1-7 on the season following the loss.
 
The brother duo of Nick Askin (4) and Nate Askin (3) both recorded hat tricks for the Green and Gold.
 
Tim Hubbard led Brockport with 5 ground balls, adding an assist on the offensive end.
 
Mike O'Brien buried two goals for the Golden Eagles on 6 total shots.
 
Goalie Gavin Miller made 12 saves across 60 minutes of action.
 
Chasing History: Averaging 4 goals per game (11^th nationally, 1^st in SUNYAC), Nick Askin is quickly approaching the program record for single-season goals. Askin's 32 goals in 8 games puts him just 6 goals behind the single-season program record of 38, set by Jake Giudice in 2017. 
 
Doing the Dirty Work: Andrew DiPalma (50) and Tim Hubbard (21) have been strong for the Golden Eagles thus far, leading the team in ground balls. DiPalma ranks 2^nd in the SUNYAC in ground balls per game (6.25), and has helped lead Brockport to a SUNYAC 2^nd best Face-Off Winning Percentage (54%).
 
Scouting New Paltz: The Hawks have jumped out to a 4-4 start, with Saturday's matchup serving as their SUNYAC opener. New Paltz boasts 5 players with 20 points or more, led by James Flanagan with 33 points on the year (19G, 14A). Goalie Ryan Steinhart has seen the majority of the action between the pipes for the Hawks, going 4-4 across 8 starts with 103 saves and 81 goals allowed. Brockport will enter Saturday looking to avenge last year's 8-7 overtime loss to the Hawks.
