Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team will be back on its home turf this Saturday, March 9
th. The Golden Eagles will take on Nazareth University for a 12pm start time.
Last Time Out: Brockport moved to 1-2 on the season earlier this week after a tough, 15-13, loss to RIT on the road.
Alayna Foos set a new season-high with four goals for the Golden Eagles.
Cassidy Burnash scored a hat trick for the third game in a row, as she totaled five points in the game (3G, 2A). Freshman
Tristan Davis was active throughout the day with three points (2G, 1A), six draw controls, and two ground balls.
Automatic Hat Trick: Cassidy Burnash has been lighting up the scoreboard in each outing for the Golden Eagles early this season. Through three games she has recorded three consecutive hat tricks, which included a 7-point performance (3G, 4A) against nationally ranked Ithaca.
Points Leaders: Cassidy Burnash leads the scoring effort for the Green and Gold through three games. She has a team-high of 18 points to go with nine goals and nine assists.
Alayna Foos is second on the squad with 11 points, thanks to nine goals of her own and two assists.
Ball Hawks: Paige Thowe has made her impact felt by getting after the ball all over the field. She leads Brockport with six ground balls and five caused turnovers. Thowe and teammate
Tristan Davis are tied for the team lead with 12 draw controls.
Alayna Foos has also caused five turnovers and has scooped up four ground balls.
Looking at Naz: The Golden Flyers come to Brockport this weekend with a record of 1-3 overall. They picked up the first win of the season in the last game, defeating Fredonia, 13-6, on the road. Kate Metzler is the leading scorer for Nazareth, entering the weekend with 12 points on nine goals and three assists.
