Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's lacrosse team earned a convincing win over Utica, 12-4, on Wednesday, April 10
th. The Golden Eagles improved to 3-8 on the season following the non-conference win.

Nick Askin led the charge offensively for Brockport, scoring the first of his four goals just 3 minutes into the first quarter to put Brockport ahead 1-0.

Jackson Worden would double the advantage for Brockport, with his unassisted goal to make it a 2-0 edge entering the 2
nd quarter.

Following a Utica goal to cut the lead to 2-1, the Golden Eagles would take over. With goals from
Nick Askin (2),
Logan Postel,
Nate Askin, and
Daniel Wright, Brockport jumped out to a 7-1 lead at the halftime break.

Under 2 minutes into the third,
Marc Zappula would extend the lead to 8-1. Utica the scored three consecutive goals that would bring the Pioneers within four with 11:11 remaining in the 4th (8-4).

The Golden Eagles would effectively end the Utica comeback, scoring the final four goals in the fourth to defeat the Pioneers 12-4.

Garrett Smith buried two goals in the 4
th for the Green and Gold, also adding a ground ball.

Jack Acker was stellar in the win, making 13 saves and allowing just four goals in 58:52 of action.

Tim Hubbard led the Golden Eagles in ground balls (5) and caused turnovers (2), also adding an assist to extend his point streak (4 games).

Jared Kulik played a perfect 1:08 between the pipes, saving two shots and allowing no goals.
