Tennis Returns to Action at Oswego on Saturday

Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's tennis team will open its spring slate on the road at Oswego on Saturday, April 13th at noon.
 
Fall Highlights: The Golden Eagles achieved multiple individual and team highlights from the fall season. The team earned its first clean sweep since the 2019 season, defeating Houghton 9-0 in their 2nd match of the season. Samantha Aubin and Shannon Aubin earned SUNYAC Doubles Team of the Week following a 2-0 start to the season, earning doubles wins against St. John Fishers and Houghton. Brockport would also snag a conference win at home against Fredonia, defeating the Blue Devils 6-3.    
 
Spring Outlook: Following Brockport's spring opener against Oswego, the Golden Eagles will face off with Fredonia at Salmon Creek Country Club in Spencerport on Friday, April 19th at 6 p.m. Tennis will close out the season at SUNYAC Championships, taking place on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th.
 
Scouting Oswego: The Lakers ended the fall season with a 4-6 overall record and a 2-5 mark in SUNYAC play. Oswego and Brockport met on September 8th of last year, with the Lakers pulling out a competitive 6-3 win on the road. This weekend's matchup serves as the "rubber match" between both schools, with Brockport and Oswego each winning 3 of the last 6 matchups.
 
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will take on Fredonia from Salmon Creek Country Club on Friday, April 19th at 6 p.m.
