Brockport, NY – This week the Golden Eagle women's lacrosse team will play a pair of SUNYAC matchups. They first head to Geneseo on Wednesday for a 4pm start. On Saturday, Brockport will host Oneonta at 1pm for Senior Day.
Last Time Out: Brockport lost a tough road game this past weekend, 16-4, against Cortland.
Cassidy Burnash finished with a hat trick, leading the team with three goals on the day.
Hailey Lewkovich scored the fourth goal of the game for the Green and Gold. The loss moves the squad to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference.
Senior Day: Prior to Saturday's start at home against Oneonta, Brockport will take time for a short ceremony to celebrate its seniors. This year the team will recognize both
Cassidy Burnash and
Julia Quinlan.
Another Milestone: Cassidy Burnash recently hit another major milestone for her collegiate career with the Brockport women's lacrosse program. Currently with 59 points (31G, 28A) on the season, Burnash officially surpassed 200 points for her career. She now has career totals of 149 goals, 77 assists, and 226 points. Cassidy moved into fourth all-time career goals and sixth all-time in points for a career in program history.
Statistical Leaders: Burnash leads the team in in total points (59) and in assists (28), to go with her 31 goals.
Alayna Foos is first on the team with 34 goals, while
Tristan Davis is a close second with 33. Foos also has a team-best 19 caused turnovers.
Paige Thowe has scooped up 23 ground balls to pace the Brockport effort on loose balls.
Sarah Kilburn has made a strong impact with 38 draw controls which is good for first on the squad.
Playing Goalie: Arianna Reed has started and gone the distance in all 12 games for the Golden Eagles this season. She has made 99 saves back in net to earn a .434 saves percentage and a 7-5 record.
Conference Standings: With the regular season winding down, the conference tournament is coming up fast. Here is a full look at the standings ahead of all games on Wednesday, April 17
th. The top six teams will advance to the postseason, beginning on April 27
th.

This Week's Competition: The Geneseo Knights enter the mid-week battle with a record of 10-3 overall and 5-1 in the SUNYAC. They have won five games in a row, with their last loss coming on March 30
th against Cortland, 13-10. The Oneonta Red Dragons are 4-9 overall and 2-4 in the SUNYAC ahead of a Wednesday matchup against Plattsburgh. Oneonta has just one win over the last five outings.
Regular Season Finale: After the weekend game, Brockport has just one more regular season showdown left to play. The team heads to Buffalo State on Wednesday, April 24
th for a 6pm start.
