Brockport, NY - The Brockport men's lacrosse team was defeated at home by Geneseo, 12-5, on Wednesday, April 24
th. The Golden Eagles fell to 4-10 overall and 2-4 in SUNYAC play following the loss.

The Knights shut out the Golden Eagles in the opening frame, scoring 5 goals in the opening 8 minutes to take a 5-0 lead into the second period.

Brockport would come to life in the 2
nd period, with
Ben Hay finding
Nate Askin with 11:13 left in the 2
nd quarter to open the scoring.

With a man-up advantage,
Nate Askin found
Nick Askin for his first goal of the game, cutting the Geneseo lead to 3.

In the final 4:13 of the 2
nd period, Geneseo would respond with back-to-back tallies to take a 7-2 lead into the half.

Geneseo goalie Andrew Tittmann (W) would shut out the Golden Eagles in the 3
rd period, with the offense adding 3 goals to take a 10-2 lead into the 4
th quarter.

The Golden Eagles would play their best period in the fourth, outscoring Geneseo 3-2 in the final frame thanks to goals from
Nick Askin (2), and
Mike O'Brien. Â

Nick Askin led all goal scorers with 3 goals on the day.

Nate Askin (1G, 1A) and
Mike O'Brien (1G, 1A) chipped in with two points each for the Green and Gold.

Tim Hubbard led all players with 3 caused turnovers in a strong outing.

Jack Acker was strong in defeat, making 19 saves across 60 minutes of action.
