Brockport, NY – On Saturday, April 26
th the SUNY Brockport women's lacrosse team will host Oswego State for the 1
st Round of the SUNYAC Tournament. This postseason matchup is scheduled for a 3pm start.
No. 4 Seed: Earlier this week, the Golden Eagles closed the regular season with a win over Buffalo State, 20-10. After an explosive, 7-0, showing in the third quarter, Brockport took the victory on the road. Following the win the Golden Eagles locked up the No. 4 seed for the SUNYAC Tournament, securing a home game for the first round.

Back to the Postseason: In her second season leading the program, Head Coach
Bryana Glasser puts the Golden Eagles in the postseason once again. Last year Brockport hosted New Paltz for the first round and this time around the team earned rights to host Oswego for the opening round. Since 2015, Brockport has made it through to the conference semifinals every postseason. They look to add a second conference title to the trophy case this spring.
Leading Scorers: Brockport has three main threats on offense that have produced consistently all season.
Cassidy Burnash leads the way with 76 points (3
rd in the SUNYAC), coming on 39 goals and 37 assists (3
rd in the SUNYAC).
Alayna Foos is the team's top goal scorer with 45 (8
th in the SUNYAC).
Tristan Davis is the third of a triple threat on offense for Brockport. She has 36 goals to her name as a freshman this season.
Impact Players: Foos not only leads the team in goals, but has made an impact defensively too. She has a team-high 22 caused turnovers this year.
Sarah Kilburn is first on the squad with 64 draw controls to go with 24 goals.
Paige Thowe has chipped in all over with 29 draw controls, 29 groundballs, and 13 caused turnovers.
Debut Season in Net: Freshman goalie
Arianna Reed completes the regular season as the starter in net for all 15 games. In her first collegiate season she totaled 135 saves, a 10.91 goals allowed average, and a .452 save percentage. Reed owns a goalie record of 9-6 heading into Saturday.
Rematch with Oswego: Saturday's first round game will be the second time Oswego has traveled to Brockport this year. During the regular season, the Golden Eagles defeated the Lakers at home, 14-10. After going down 5-1 in the first quarter, Brockport scored seven goals in the second to respond for a 8-6 lead at the half. Brockport took care of business in the second half to take the win.
Alayna Foos led the way with six points on four goals and two assists.
Tristan Davis also scored four goals, while
Arianna Reed made 11 saves in net.
Looking at the Lakers: The Oswego State Lakers finished up the regular season 10-6 overall and 6-3 in the SUNYAC, claiming the No. 5 seed for the postseason. They won four of their last five contests, closing the season with a 17-4 loss to Cortland. #5 Sela Wiley leads the squad with 75 points (47G, 28A) on the season. #2 Isabella Lembo is the top goal scorer for Oswego with 52 goals. Goalie #33 Sarah Kamide has made 121 saves for a .435 save percentage in 14 starts.
What's at Stake: Now that the teams have reached the postseason it is a win or go home scenario for everyone. The winner of the first-round games on Saturday will move on to the SUNYAC Semifinals, scheduled for May 1
st.
