Brockport, NY -- On Saturday the SUNY Brockport women's tennis team lost at home to Hartwick, 9-0, moving to 0-4 overall and 0-2 in Empire 8 competition.
Cara Vasile and
Olivia Raschiatore were deployed in the first doubles match, falling 8-2. Brockport's
Kathleen Rogers and
Lena Paolicelli also lost, 8-2, in their matchup in second doubles. Doubles play was finished up with an 8-3 loss by
Olivia Chiu and
Sophie Langdon.
The visiting Hawks went on to sweep singles play as well on the day. Raschiatore fell in the first singles spot in two straight sets (6-0, 6-0).
Vasile battled but ultimately fell in second singles 6-2, 6-2. Paolicelli was given the third singles slot, falling 6-1, 6-0.
Langdon fell in fourth singles (6-3, 6-0),
Grace Trebilcock lost her matchup in the five slot (6-0, 6-1), and
Erin McMichael lost in the sixth singles match (6-0, 6-0).
The Golden Eagles are on the road for more Empire 8 action on Friday, September 20th at 4pm against St. John Fisher.
