Elmira, NY- The Brockport field hockey team picked up a dominant 10-1 win in its Empire 8 debut at Elmira on Saturday, September 21
st. The Golden Eagles improved to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play following the win.

The Golden Eagle offense struck early and often in the opening frame, tallying four goals in the first quarter.
Paige Thowe opened the scoring at the 3:50 mark (
Sophia Jones AST), followed by goals from
Gianna Salerno (
Allison Greene AST),
Samantha Choate (
Kalena Eaton AST), and
Quinn Guy (
Kelsey Zehr AST).

Brockport refused to slow down in the second period, adding three more scores in the frame.
Allison Greene's goal notched her second and third points of the game at the 18:45 mark (
Gianna Salerno AST).

Tiffany Andres buried a
Quinn Guy feed to extend the lead to 6-0.Â
Chloe Curtis buried another Brockport goal with an assist from
Cassidy Pado to enter halftime up 7-0.

Elmira would score the opening goal on the second half before Brockport ended the contest on a 3-0 run. Goals from
Chloe Curtis (2),
Quinn Guy (2), and
Gianna Salerno to close out the contest would lead to a 10-1 Brockport win.

Seven different Golden Eagles would tally a goal or better, with 11 players registering a point or better.

Katelynn Banning (W, 1-1) was strong between the pipes, making 4 saves in 60 minutes of action.
