Brockport, NY – The Brockport women's soccer team beat the Hilbert Hawks with yet another shutout, 3-0, bringing the total to seven straight shutouts. Picking up the win in their last non-conference game of the 2024 season, the Golden Eagles have won five in a row to jump to 6-0-1 overall and remains at 2-0 in the Empire 8.
Jaylah Cossin finished with a total of four in the game, scoring a pair of goals for Brockport. Early on at the 5:03 mark, Cossin took control and found the back of the net with an unassisted goal. About nine minutes later, Cossin shot and scored yet again at 13:59 with an assist by
Caitlin Nelson.
The Green and Gold didn't stop there after holding a 2-0 lead at halftime. At the end of the second half at 88:46,
Katie Hotaling also found the back of the net making this her first of the 2024 season. Another assist was credited to Nelson, her second of the match. Brockport went on to secure a 3-0 victory on the road.
The team dominated the ball, taking a total of 43 shots with 23 on goal compared to the Hawks three on goal.

Karissa Champion and
Emily McCane were both in between the pipes for 45 minutes each. Champion had one save, while McCane made two to combined for the shutout.
Coming Up - The Golden Eagles get ready for Girls Youth Soccer Day on Saturday, September 28th against the Hartwick Hawks where they are welcoming the Spencerport SC 2015 Gold U-10 girls' team to the field. The E8 matchup is scheduled for a 3pm start in Brockport.
