Brockport, NY- The Brockport women's tennis team will host a pair of E8 matches, beginning with a matchup with Nazareth on Friday, September 27^th at 4 p.m. before taking on Alfred on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles were defeated on the road at St. John Fisher, 8-1, on Friday, September 27^th. Brockport dropped to 0-5 on the season following the loss and 0-3 in Empire 8 play.
 
Olivia Raschiatore and Cara Vasile put up a strong showing in defeat in 1^st doubles, falling 8-6.
 
Olivia Chiu and Sophie Langdon teamed up in 3^rd doubles, ultimately coming up short 8-2. 
 
Olivia Raschiatore took Maddy Langley to the limit in 1^st singles, suffering a loss in 3 sets (3-6,6-3, 10-5).
 
Cara Vasile (2^nd singles) and Lena Paolicelli (3^rd singles) both fell in two sets (6-1, 6-0).
 
Grace Trebilcock was defeated in 5^th singles despite a close 2^nd set (6-0, 6-4).
 
Earning the Golden Eagles lone point on the day, Erin McMichael came through with a 2-set win in 6^th singles action (6-1, 6-4).
 
Scouting Nazareth: The Golden Flyers sit at 2-2 to begin the season, most recently falling at home to Daemen 6-1. The head-to-head series between Brockport and Nazareth has seen the two-team split their last 2 matchups.
 
Scouting Alfred: The Saxons sit at 2-7 overall with a 1-2 mark in conference play, most recently falling to Hartwick College 9-0. The Golden Eagles have won 3 of the last 5 head-to-head matchups against Saxtons.
