Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Remains Undefeated With 1-0 Blank at Fisher

Brockport, NY – The women's soccer team fought hard for a 1-0 win against the St. John Fisher Cardinals on the road today. This brings the Golden Eagles up to 9-0-3 overall and 7-0 in the conference. The Green and Gold remain undefeated through 12 games in the 2025 season, only allowing one goal.

St. John Fisher stayed dominant in the first half, taking a total of eight shots compared to the Golden Eagles' four, but was no match for the Brockport defensive line and goalkeeper Emily McCane, who made four saves in the first half. The Cardinals also added three corner kick scoring opportunities, but Brockport kept the ball out of the net, keeping the competition scoreless.

Coming back after the halftime break, the Green and Gold would waste no time putting themselves on top with a quick goal to the back of the net by McKenna Slate, just five minutes in. The battle didn't stop there, with the Cardinals taking six more shots, with one making it to goalkeeper Madeline McCrosson, who made the save for the squad and brought home a career win.

Alayna Yahoudy showed out today with two shots and two on goal. Lyndsey Miller, McKenna Slate, and Lucy Crounse all got their foot on the ball each with one shot and one on goal.

Caitlin Nelson, Lena Turaj, Megan Gerber, and Lyndsey Miller each remained in the matchup for the total of 90 minutes, contributing to the strong win.

Next Week – Brockport is back in action and on the road next Wednesday, October 15th to face Alfred University under the lights starting at 7pm. The Golden Eagles will be back home on Saturday, October 18th to face Elmira College at 1pm where they will also be celebrating Senior Day.
