Field Hockey Earns 4-0 Victory at Keuka

BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Field Hockey team returned to the win column, defeating Keuka College, 4-0, on Wednesday, October 15th. The Golden Eagles improved to 7-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play following the victory.

The first period would prove to be an even affair, with each squad recording just one shot on goal each. The Golden Eagles would outshoot the Wolves 3-2, but neither team would be able to get on the scoreboard in the first quarter.

The second period would prove to be much of the same, with neither goaltender facing a shot, as both teams entered the halftime break scoreless. The Golden Eagles offense would explode in the second half to the tune of four goals.

Just 56 seconds into the third period, Elise Brady would open the scoring with her fifth goal of the season, with Clare Devine picking up the assist. Less than two minutes later, Brady would find Devine for her second goal of the season, and Brockport's second of the contest to jump ahead 2-0.

Brockport's leading goal scorer, Terralyn McLaughlin, would round out the scoring for the Green and Gold in the third period. McLaughlin's unassisted goal served as her sixth of the season.

The Golden Eagles would keep the pedal to the medal in the fourth period, seeing junior Sophia Jones find the back of the net, and Clare Devine picking up another assist.

Katelynn Banning picked up the win between the pipes for Brockport, making a save and earning her first clean sheet of the season.

Clare Devine provided her best performance as a Golden Eagle, totaling four points (G, 2A), and shooting a perfect four for four from the field (4 SOG).

Elise Brady added a strong outing for Brockport, finishing with three points (G, A) and three shots on goal.

Up Next: Brockport will look to defend home turf against Nazareth on Saturday, October 18th at 4 pm.
