Cross Country Faces Strong Competition at Connecticut College

Brockport, NY – The men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Connecticut College Invitational and came out strong on the course. The men's and women's teams had two different races, consisting of the white race to start, moving on to the blue race to finish out the day. 

Men's Team – In the white race, Brady Reudiger took first for the Golden Eagles and 103rd overall at a time of 27:05.24. 

Kyle Deromanis finished up in second for Brockport and 127th with a mark of 27:27.50. 

Just .23 seconds later, Nahuel Gutierrez crossed the line in 128th place with a time of 27:27.73. 

Taking 142nd and fifth for Brockport was Hayden Allington, finishing up at 27:36.99. 

Kyle Lovenguth ended the competition just two places later in 144th at a time of 27:38.62. 

In the blue race, Aidan Mayer placed first for the Green and Gold taking 134th overall with a time of 26:06.54. 

Shortly after, Howie Vargas ran for 26:23.57, good for 164th overall and second for Brockport. 

Caleb Belanger finished up in 187th overall, crossing the finish line at a time of 26:46.41 clinching third for Brockport. 

Chris Cammisa ran 26:59.23, taking 203rd place overall.

Finishing up in fifth for Brockport and 226th overall was Kyle Deromanis with a time of 27:21.60. 

Women's Team – In the women's white race, Salvatrice Piccolo took first for the Golden Eagles and 103rd in the competition at a time of 24:23.8. 

Just two places later in 105th, Natalie Heselton crossed the finish line with a time of 24:28.7. 

Hailey Morrison took 143rd overall, finishing up at a mark of 24:56.9. 

Placing 147th on the day and fourth for Brockport was Taylor Nugent with a time of 25:00.8. 

In the women's blue 6k race, Ethne Degan ran for a strong time of 22:55.27 good for 115th and first for Brockport. 

Taking 158th overall was Salma Moument, crossing the finish line at a mark of 23:20.40. 

Maeve Robarge ran for 23:50.47 to finish up in 199th place, and just one place later, Esther Nankumba crossed the line in 200th with a time of 23:50.62. 

Following shortly behind was Emily Leo, taking 205th place just two seconds later at 23:52.63. 

Up Next – The Golden Eagles are set to take a week off and will then travel to Houghton University on Saturday, November 1st for the Empire 8 Championships
