Brockport, NY – The women's soccer team took their first loss on home turf in a non-conference matchup against Penn State Behrend. This 3-0 draw brings the Golden Eagles to 11-4-3 overall, but remains undefeated in the conference at 9-0.
The Penn State offense put the pressure on Brockport in the first half, taking control and finding the back of the net early on to set the tone. Bri Ross had the goal just 16 minutes in with the assist by Mia Patel. Brockport's defense made a tough effort to keep the ball out of the net until Penn State's Marlene Andrade had a penalty kick opportunity and scored, putting the team up 2-0 going into the second period. The Lions finished up the first half outshooting Brockport 7 (4 SOG)-1.

Karissa Champion in net, who made a total of two saves in the first period.
Coming back from the halftime break, Penn State brought the heat yet again, scoring yet another goal early on in the second period. Just seven minutes in, Lindsey Pswlawski made the score, assisted by Maddie Haggerty, finishing out the competition 3-0. The Golden Eagles challenged the Lions' defense, making a total of four shots, while Penn State also added four shots in.
Cameryn Childs was in between the pipes for Brockport to finish out the game, making a total of two saves for the squad.

Up Next – Brockport looks ahead to this weekend as they travel to Utica University to take on the Pioneers on Saturday, October 25
th, starting at 1pm. The team will then host SUNY Geneseo for the last conference game of the season on Wednesday, October 29
th at 4pm.
