Brockport, NY – The women's soccer team shut out the SUNY Poly Wildcats with a dominant 9-0 on home turf today for their Pink Out The Pitch Breast Cancer Awareness Game. The team also celebrated Youth Soccer Day, where the Girls Brockport Blizzard Soccer U10 team walked out with the squad.

Following the matchup, the Golden Eagles are now 7-0-3 overall and remain undefeated at 5-0 in the E8 Conference.

Starting the competition off hot was Jordan Chizuk to open up the scoring book with a goal taken from Megan Gerber. Gerber kept the ball in her possession, going on to find the back of the net herself, putting Brockport up 2-0. Shortly after, Kaitlyn Spring showed out with a goal with the assist from Dinah Gifford. The Green and Gold kept the ball rolling and shortly before the halfway point, Amelia Breton snuck the ball past the goalkeeper, bringing the score to 4-0 going into the second period.

The lead remained at four points for the majority of the second half, until McKenna Slate added another with the assist by Marisa Closson. The momentum didn't stop there, with Alana Yahoudy sending a rocket in between the pipes from Chiara Torriani. Just seconds after, Amelia Breton put her second goal in of the day, assisted by Torriani yet again.  Just barely two minutes after, Megan Gerber put up her second goal as well, found from Amelia Breton, and with no hesitation, added in her third from Felicity Contento, to bring the final score to 9-0 on the day.

The Green and Gold kept their strength in the second half, almost tying the first period with 27 shots (17 SOG) over Poly's one. They also added eight corner kick opportunities compared to zero.
